Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

Retro Save Hub is an Android application for backing up, validating, restoring, and syncing emulator save files. This policy explains what data the app uses and how that data is handled.

Data the App Uses

The app may process the following data on the user's device:

Google Drive Access

Retro Save Hub requests the Google Drive scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata. This scope is used to store and restore app-created backup archives and metadata in the user's private Google Drive app data folder.

The app does not request access to the user's full Google Drive. It does not browse, read, edit, or delete arbitrary files outside the app data folder.

How Data Is Stored

Local backups are stored on the user's device in the app's private storage unless the user chooses another supported location. Cloud backups are uploaded only after the user connects a cloud provider and starts or enables synchronization.

Data Sharing

Retro Save Hub does not sell user data. The app does not share emulator save data with third parties except when the user explicitly connects a cloud provider such as Google Drive for backup synchronization.

Token Storage

Google OAuth tokens are stored locally by the app so it can upload and restore backup files. Users can disconnect Google Drive inside the app or revoke access from their Google Account permissions page.

Deleting Data

Users can delete local backup files from inside the app or from Android app storage. Users can also revoke Google Drive access from their Google Account and remove app data associated with Retro Save Hub.
